We booked a full day coffee tour with horseback riding through our hostel. Our guide Sergio took us high into the mountains to a coffee farm owned by a man named Carlos. They both did a fantastic job at explaining the processes (seed to cup) of the coffee. They both had a lot of great information to share on the history of coffee and their focus on economically sustainable and organic farming. They made us more coffee creations than we thought existed! By no means did they “cheap out” on anything. The lunch was interesting, and pushed us a little out of our comfort zone. Not a problem in our case. The horseback riding was very enlightening to the way people live in the region as we strolled by other farmers. We do not have a ton or riding experience, and thought the terrain was a little out of our wheelhouse.

I did the Grafiti tour with Herman. I really enjoy it, I think it's worth paying for a tour of communa 13 with this company because you see way more and get a lot of explanations. It's a company that takes only small groups, so it's easier to enjoy yourself. Herman was really easy to understand and he's well known in the communa. We got to meet one of the most famous artist, it was a very special tour, thank you.
Great tour to Guatape
Important: THEIR OFFICE IS NOT LOCATED AT THIS ADRESS. YOU WILL MEET THEM AT THE PARK. We booked the ComUna 13 tour with our guide Juan Pablo and had the most interesting hours in Medellin. We learned a lot about the history of Medellin, the comunas, hip-hop culture - and anything else we would like to know. The tour includes free rides with public services (incl. Cable car) and a tasty ice in the center of ComUna 13. It was a great experience to see how well a social program (in comuna 13) can help to transform the people of an area within only a few years from the most dangerouse place on earth to such a peaceful, inspiring and innovative place. We had a wonderful time today. We booked the tour including the visit of a coffee farm and Guatapé (rock, lagune, city). Everything was perfect, authentic and well organized. Bus, lunch, boat, entrance to the rock and guidance was included (135.000pesos). For lunch we had not much time but otherwise we wouldn‘t have seen so many things, so that was okay.
We did the Guatape tour with Jason and Jonny from Medellin. It took the whole day. It was easily the best organized tour we've been on. Packed with activities and information. Hard to believe so much can be done in a day. It is obvious that a lot of effort went into designing this tour. The are many Guatape tours, but this one is unique. Do notesitate to book it. Just bring your swim suits.
