One of the most beautiful places around the coffee region. 100% recommended.

Exceptional views that you'll work for here. When the guides and websites say it takes about 5 hours, it really does. We ended up doing the clockwise route which was supposed to be the easier one. It may have been easier but was still difficult enough. If you only do a short distance, at least make it to Mirador 2. The views are worth every bit of work that go into it.

Beautiful trek (6h for 12km) start from the cocora valley as you will climb only at the beginning and finish by the blue gate. It really worth to do the full loop !

A variety of available hike paths. The entire path takes around 5-7 hours to complete. This time we were with a 5 and 8byear old so we just went up to the second Mirador, which took a little over an hour. There are no maps along the path so make sure you look at the one at the beginning. It is a moderate hike up especially with little kids. The hike down is not much better, but it is very pleasant with some great views. Totally worth the effort. The weather can vary, so prepare for rain and or sun.

A must!!! After a fun ride up to the valley we were in awe of the landscape. Our guide Carlos was fantastic! He informed us of both local flora and fauna in the Cocora Valley. Most interesting is the plight of the giant wax palms. We were fortunate to see a Condor too. Be sure to leave early and do the hike in the morning. It can get very hot. Take water and good hiking/running shoes.

Wonderful hike, but not easy. Rent boots if there has been rain

Beautiful national park... I recommend the longer hike through the jungle to the hummingbird sanctuary!

I would have loved to give it 10 stars ........ It's one of the prettiest and intriguing places I've visited. Visiting the tallest Palm trees in the world is an experience one has to take
