My son and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Colombia where we toured the beautiful countryside and visited multiple coffee farms. We would have never been able to see and do so much without the help of Impulse Travel. Our agent Paula planned a fun and interesting itinerary that made the most of our time without us feeling rushed. She was very accommodating to our requests and even booked a photographer / videographer to help document our trip. I highly recommend them and will be using their services again on my next trip.

I had an amazing graffiti tour with Andres today around Bogotá. Not only did he show graffiti, he told me everything about the city, we were picked up promptly, in a comfortable car, and he was so professional! He knew all of the answers to my questions as well as the history of street art, graffiti, and the history of Columbia. Highly recommend!

I was part of the "Probando Territorio" experience, a gastronomical tour in which we discovered the history and tradition behind "biche", a traditional and unique alcoholic drink made by local indigenous and afro communities. Also, the "biche" tasting was complimented with an amazing dinner with local flavors created by the Chef Diana Pizano. It is definitely a must for both foreign visitors and locals!

Breaking borders tour is a lifetime experience. Through this tour we not only had the feeling to make a difference by encouraging young men to succeed on getting out of their gang’s life. We also broke our own judgments about street youth and felt much more compassionate and understanding. This tour allows to witness the Colombian transformation and is a great proof of how life can turn into a better world. Thanks for the opportunity to become a social and responsible tourist it was eye opening. Thanks Impulse team, Andres, Mr Pumpkin and the kids for showing us your vision and already amazing steps made. This is full of hope and so bold. Gracias!

Rafting for peace was an incredible experience to witness first-hand the impact of the Colombian peace process while enjoying rafting in amazing landscapes

Rafting for peace - Remando por la paz Since the peace agreement in Colombia was signed I’ve been wondering how the people that made part of the guerrillas would transition to civilian life. A friend of mine told me about this particular community and mentioned that it was possible to go there and experience the transition in first-hand. I ended up booking this trip through Impulse Travel. The entire trip was a success and I truly recommend it. First, every single detail was covered by Impulse (air tickets, lodging, meals, activities) so I didn’t have to worry about the logistics. I personally like to be spontaneous during my trips but in this case, in which there is no much information available, I liked having some type of expert working on the logistics. Second, and probably the most important part, the trip opened my eyes completely. I had the opportunity to live, even for few days, what this community is going through during the transition process. I learned about the different projects that they have in order to be sustainable as a community that follows the law. All of them are pretty interesting but probably the one that gets the most attention is the white water rafting. In fact, the instructors, which are former members of the FARC and civilians that joined the community, formed a team that represented Colombia during the past World Rafting Championships in Australia (2019). Additionally, they organized the first national championship in Colombia which was a complete success.

The coffee tour was fantastic, one of the highlights of the entire trip to Colombia. Every aspect of the tour was well done: they arrived on time, the van we traveled in was clean and comfortable, the driver was excellent, and the tour guide--Alejandro--was outstanding (smart, knowledgeable about the area, witty, helpful, the whole package). And the tour of the coffee farm itself was very interesting, a nice break from the hustle-and-bustle of Bogota. Even the meal on the ride home was first rate. I highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money.

We had a great tour with Alejandro on our first day in Bogota, which made an excellent introduction to the downtown and La Candelaria areas. We began an excellent soup in the market, followed by our first experience of tasting Colombian fruits like mangosteen and the delicious Maracuya, amongst others. We had an excellent hot chocolate with cheese and breads in a traditional cafe, terrific ice cream made from traditional fruits and a great lunch, followed by coca tea. As there were two of us, we quickly learned to share a single dish - much better to be able to taste everything and not be full at the second stop! Alejandro made the tour so interesting, filling us in on a lot of historical and political background, as well as explaining something about the social enterprise developments in Bogota. Highly recommend this tour! We are about to book more tours with Impulse Travel in Medellin and Santa Marta, because we were so impressed.
