Albaka hostel is a lovely friendly place , very welcoming and secure . Rooms are basic but fine. They have good big bathrooms but are a little airless with not much natural light. This is definitely made up for by the wonderful helpful and friendly staff. It's a great location, near the supermarket, lots of restaurants and the train around the rest of the city. We really enjoyed our stay here :) thank you! X

Best place in Manila (Poblado) to stay if you want a nice breakfast, good beds and a great roofterrace. All rooms have wifi and a fan (no AC, but that's fine) and a clean bathroom. Friendly english-speaking staff that helps you if you're struggling with Spanish (and taking classes but you still can't make a normal sentence).
I love this cute little hostel! It was my home for about a month while staying in Medellin for a conference. It's simple, has creative interiour with lots of wood nice pillows. Rooftop is good, too! The staff is super-cute and I didn't have a single bad experience throughout the whole month. I felt like it was a home and I miss it now! You guys are the best, thank you! \u003c3
Beautiful place, lovely owner and nice vibe, would come again
Check-in was very efficient. Extraordinary friendly and helpful staff. We had a clean double room with fresh towels and a bathroom. For a hostel it's quite quiet, with good breakfast and a nice terrace. Lots of good restaurands around and centric located to all sights. The groundfloor double can be a bit noisy as its located just beside entrance door and reception. Unfortunately our room had no window which made it hard to breathe and without sunlight it felt like a bunker - didnt quite match the images while booking. A cupboard / closet was also missing to actually unpack but staff provided us a chair.
Nice hotel , save area with good food options around. Small rooms
The location is great and the staff were generally pretty helpful. I can only give the place 3 stars as we stayed three nights and were moved into a new room each day. On arrival they didn't seem to have a booking for us so we were put in one of the rooms waiting to be renovated - it smelt pretty bad. The next day we had to ask to move (even though we were promised a newly renovated room) but were put down the hallway in another non renovated room. The next morning, as we were leaving to make a tour we were told we'd have to pack our stuff so they could move us again. A pain in the arse if I'm honest. The boss is lovely though and the facilities are good for what you pay for.
The espresso here is excellent. The temperature can be a bit warm, and the fan could use an upgrade, but the employees were warm and the beer cold. Great location for groceries and night life. Beds were sleepable.
