The staff who have the guide tour on the Guatavita Lake it's very careful know every detail, they're giving us all the biosecurity measures and during the tour they recommend always the social distance and the use of the disinfection points

Wow!!! Absolutely gorgeous and natural place, once you arrive the national Park staff give you the welcome and tells you what to do . You better get there before 1 pm in order to have time enough to do the tour. Don't forget to bring with you water, rain cap!

The legend of the el dorado begins here. Today the lake remains in all its beauty, the stories from the guide are fascinating. The flora of the region, the culture and the people that shaped history of Colombia for centuries. The lake in itself was of significant importance to the people, the muiscas. The park os well maintained and the walk is a good 2 hours from the entrance. Carry a lot of water and umbrella and jackets. Weather here changes in an instant and the height can be up to 3200 meters above sea level. Hence expect short breath too. However the beauty of the region makes it all worth to visit this place. The guide is mostly in Spanish, hence pay close attention or travel with a local person to understand and not lose out on the fascinating stories.

Beautiful, but you now have to go with a guide and there are limited hours. Worth doing once.
