You will discover more treasure in Punta y Taco Dance School than the entire Museum of Gold. The best dance instructors in Bogota, and perhaps all of Colombia, can be found within the walls of Punta y Taco because Gloria and Jorge are not only talented dancers but also talented teachers. I come from a long line of two left footed dancers (my dad nearly broke my mom's wrist when they first danced together) but thanks to Punta y Taco I really learned how to dance! No wrists broken on the entire trip, and I even managed to crack a few smiles. In addition to being inspirationally superb dancers, the teachers at Punta y Taco are wonderful people who go out of their way to enrich the non-dance experiences of their students outside of the classroom. Funny, charming, thoughtful, and caring people. The entire school feels like a family, which creates an excellent (and rare) learning environment where failing feels fine and succeeding feels like a victory for yourself and everyone else. What else can I say? Punta y Taco deserves all the praise in the world. If you are interested in learning to dance in Colombia this is feet down the place to do it.

I took 10 private salsa classes at Punta y Taco, as a total beginner.The classes were professional, punctual, and most of all... fun. I had Gloria as my instructor. She was always patient and encouraging... lots of positive energy in this studio! Besides learning a bit of salsa myself, it was amazing to see how well some of the other students danced. For me, it was also a nice way to destress after work. Highly recommended.

Jorge is a great dance instructor! He was very clear about the class goals and the proper technique to dance salsa. Also, he showed us where to place out weight and the ideal posture for dancing.

While traveling through Bogota mi novia and I loved watching everyone spontaneously break into salsa dancing and really wanted to learn, but as beginners didn't know where to start. We only had an extra day to spare in town, and found this school online. Jorge responded quickly to our request for a private lesson, and within two hours we had a much better understanding of the fundamentals than in any other beginner classes we had taken in the USA. Jorge's methodology is unique, intuitive, and very fun. We speak very little Spanish, but Jorge is a great communicator and it was easy to move beyond any language barriers. I highly recommend Punta y Taco!

I cannot praise Punta y Taco enough! Not only have the 5 private lessons I took with Jorge drastically improved my salsa technique, but they have also increased my confidence in how I dance and carry myself through the world. I only had a week in Bogotá but I tried to dance at Punta y Taco every day because I enjoyed it so much! Jorge and Gloria were always on time for classes and were professional without being intimidating. Jorge teaches Colombian, LA and Cuban salsa styles, and tailors the class to your interests and skill level. He sees dance as a dialogue and less as purely a lead and a follow dichotomy, which is a really amazing perspective that makes dancing more innovative and fun. He helps followers learn how to add their twist when dancing. You can tell that Jorge is passionate about what he does, and even if you already love salsa dancing before taking classes with him (like I did), you will leave loving it even more. On top of Jorge and Gloria being amazing dancers and teachers, they are also incredibly welcoming people who go out of their way to make you feel included and part of the community. A lot of the students went out on Friday night and it was really special to be able to "salir a rumbear" with a big group of friends after only being in the city for a few days. Thank you Jorge y Gloria!

5 ️ Gloria and Jorge are awesome teachers and super fun to learn to dance with. I came in knowing only LA style (linear salsa) and came out with a much deeper understanding of the LA Style but also learned a bit about Colombian style along the way! Thanks to both of you for all your help and also taking me out Saturday night to a salsa bar to get the authentic Colombian experience! And thanks for putting up with my Spanish and last minute schedule changes! Lol! I can’t wait to build upon everything you guys have taught me :)
