It's the first time that I reached a waterfall's born, it was pretty amazing. This place is so recommended to have a great weekend.

Totally worth the trip. But it is not easy to get public transportation. We hitched hiked but were willing to walk about two hours from Palermo to the fall in case there was no car. The road is mostly not paved so not for a low car. The falls are gorgeous and the view of the canyon is too. The falls are accessible from Paipa or Gambita we went there from Paipa and the trip took about 2 hours total.

A 10 kilómetros del casco urbano de Gámbita, por la vía que conduce a Palermo y Paipa, se encuentra uno de los sitios predilectos para el ecoturismo con imponentes miradores y grandiosas cascadas. El Manto de la Virgen es una de las caídas de agua más impresionantes de Santander, con aguas cristalinas y refrescantes. En el lugar se puede realizar senderismo que conduce al mirador del Cañón de la Hondura.
Es un lugar paradisíaco. La vista al manto (cascada) queda a 30min de camino empinado. 1h más adelante se llega al cañón. Es necesario siempre llevar impermeable e idealmente una muda de ropa, en especial en época de lluvias.
Un lugar mágico, vale la pena subir hasta la piscina natural la vista es espectacular.
Al lugar se puede llegar en automóvil dandole suave ... Cobran al entrar en la finca ya que es privado, seguro y parqueo ... El lugar es muy bonito y una buena caminata
