I took the tour from medellin to Guatape. Amazing tour. Around 10 hours. Include tour, boat and Great lunch at Guatape. Price was 30 usd. Worth it. The English guide was Sandy, charming local young guy, bus driver John and spanish guide Helena

Did the guatape tour with our English translator Sandy and he was funny, insightful, and answered all my questions! Helena, the Spanish guide was nice and a helpful guide as well I just couldn’t understand her as well because I’m not fluent in Spanish. We left in the morning hiked to the top of the rock and the view was glorious. Had lunch in the city in Guatape, received a tour of the city then got to explore for ourselves. 5/5 would definitely recommend this tour group.
Excellent group tour that allowed us 1.5 hours to climb the rock (if you have health issues and take your time, could take up to 30 mins up, 12 coming down), and 1 hour in the town of Guatape, along with a 40 min boat ride, and an excellent lunch (get the fried trout/trucha frita)! I would have liked possibly 90 mins in the town to allow for shopping, snacks, and also lounging, taking pics. The hour went by too fast (unless you had no intentions to shop). DEFINATELY buy breakfast the evening before to eat before you leave out so you have energy to climb! I also had a poncho (weather is unpredicable) and binoculars to take in the view. You are in no rush to get to the top so take your time and enjoy. It's more memorable that way. TRY LIMONADA DE COCO WHEN YOU REACH THE TOP (6000 COP) That is THE most refreshing drink I ever had! One day after returning from Colombia I successfully recreated it at home! Other notes: Definately bring a sweater for the boat ride! Loved the latin music they played on the boat. The ride mostly smooth and didn't give me motion sickness, which I can get very easily! Take a battery pack and a possibly a snack if you get hungry often. My tour is was in Spanish but their wasn't a lot of history told, so if you arent fluent and they have no English tours available, still take it! The climb, views, food, and colorful town will still be well worth the price of the tour (which is more affordable than any I've seen that include a hefty meal like this one)! I don't recommend trying to visit on your own because I have heard stories about the local buses breaking down or not arriving...or people missing the last one (it fills up fast!) Also, unlike on public transport, this tour bus is only at 50% capacity and requires proper face mask use, which is much safer in COVID times. If you do a tour these days, pull up your mask fully to protect yourself and others! Otherwise stay home!
Sandy and the rest of the tour guides were very professional, informative, tentative with the best service I've seen . They have english and spanish guides , they tell you about the history of the areas as we were passing by them also gave us their cell contact in case we got lost or forgot when we had to meet back . The ride on the bus was super comfortable I'm 6-4 and I even sleeped comfortably on the way back I would highly recommend them and I will use their services again in the future.
Great tour ! loved it so much. Good thing our guide's english was perfect, Sandy, was his name I think. The staff was super friendly and kind, I don't remember all names, but I think it was Albert(the driver)?, Juan(spanish guide, soo nice) and Sandy(the translator). One thing tho, It would have been even better if we had more time in the city of Guatape, because it's just gorgeous. I think we only had two hours, where one of them was a tour and the rest-free time. Thanks️
Super professional, great food, great day, highly recommended! The owner is the BEST. Thank you Juliana for everything!
Excellent service! Very punctual and knowledgeable Food was delicious! We had an amazing time.
I had such a great experience going on this tour, was probably the highlight of my Medellin trip! The lady who helped us book ( I forgot her name) was so friendly and helpful. This place is very legit and the bus was very comfortable in that long bumpy ride and the tour guide was just amazing. The food given with the tour is also really good!! Definitely recommend trying the Lulo drink on one of the stops.
