For paragliding pilots with GOOD landing skills, who are stuck before the high voltage powerline and cannot make it to Roldanillo. This will save you landing in the trees, but be aware it is an ultimate emergency landing site. If you are facing this situation you have already made various errors or have been caught in a katabatic wind (rare). The technic consists in flying UNDER the powerline. You should allow enough margin in case a thermal picks you up. If you pass this safely, you will find the handkerchief size field that will allow safe landing. It works for solo and tandem gliders. To date has been tested 3 times with success while other pilots where tangled in the trees nearby. BE AWARE!! There is a river in the canon by the right side of field under the tree canopy. Should you have to tree land because you have no other choice....do it near the dirt track, to the left that follows the canon.
