Beautiful, natural site! Enjoy this green place learning about Colombia's forest. Lovely Bird and butterflies sight spot.

Great place to learn about the Colombian forest. The botanical garden has a wide variety of palm-tree and birds. If you want to enjoy the place call ahead and make a tour reservation. It's a little bit pricey but you are supporting the place and staff. Tour guides are really kind and helpful, they know a lot of things about plants and local animals. Tour takes about 2.5 hours.

Good place to see plants, palm trees, hummingbirds, agaotis and other animals. It's a nice escape from the heat too. The iced coffee helps with that. Tours throughout the day take an hour or so. Takes about 25 min by road, from Plaza Bolivar, Armenia.

The Botanical Garden is officially closed. They would have let me enter for 50.000 COP on a guided tour only. They fail to communicate this most important information on their website or Instagram profile. Really poorly managed PR and respectless towards the visitor. Do not go.

It's a great place There you can see mostly animals in their wild, the visit is guided by a professional and lasts about 2 hours. The most enjoyable is the butterfly garden, where a ton of butterflies go around

Outstanding experience. This is a very unusual botanical garden because it is completely open and you go through a guided path where you get to see amazing free tropical birds and humming birds. We even got to see a green tucan. There's also an enclosure where you find hundreds of beautiful butterflies. The whole tour is roughly 2:30 hours and it was worth every second. We even got to meet the owner of the garden. Such a wonderful, lovely gentleman! Don't miss this experience, check out my photos and you'll see what I mean!

It’s a outdoor botanical experience, but contrary to what I thought, the shadow of the trees covers the entire route, so it is not essential sun protection. I personally consider a natural enriching experience for adults and children, for young people and teenagers can be boring. The experience allows you to delve into a forest ecosystem where you can easily spot birds, mammals, rodents (guatínes), insects, among others, in natural and artificial spaces harmoniously adapted for the comfort of visitors, without having to enter a virgin ecosystem. One tip is to make the visit at times where they leave food in order to attract the animals to the places of sighting, for example 10:00 am. Also, when you are inside the Butterfly, splash your fingers of saliva or sweat, the butterflies love to perch and drink which will give you a lovely photograph. Cost of the entrance: 8. Place with all the amenities for the visitor, however, it is difficult to make the route for people in wheelchairs. It is worth the visit at least once.
