Beautiful and special landscape, definitely worth visiting! We went with an average car,but I wouldn't do it again. Through the last 12 km we were so stressed that we won't make it without a flat tire or some more serious problem. The road conditions on the last 12 km requires a higher car or a 4wd. Also the registration to the park was very difficult as we couldn't make international transfer. Fortunately our Airbnb hosts helped and paid for us in Bogota. I feel very lucky that after all these difficulties we made it. It was truly beautiful and untuched. The vegetation,paramo is so unique.A suggestion for the park staff: maybe you could offer pick up drive for that last 12kms.

We had to return 20kms in because we had a flat tire, so as a recommendation, drive slow and preferably a large car. Other than that, beautiful sightseeing in the road and we learnt about species that we could've seen if we had the chance to hike.

Natural and friendly destination. Good local food and equipment reinforcement store. Cold! Bathrooms in good conditions and interesting presentations about the national Highlands.
