We originally booked two nights at Sol de Minca and ended up staying for five! The place and the rooms are beautiful and relaxing, the food is delicious, and most of all the family running the place is wonderful. We had an amazing time and wouldn't hesitate to come again!

Sol de Minca ecological reserve is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and connect with nature. I stayed in a lovely room with a beautiful view of the forest and the valley, watching toucans and many other beautiful birds from the hammock :) The family and team are open and welcoming (a huge thank you especially to Sabrina for taking care of me), the food is great and locally sourced as far as possible. It's a fifteen minute walk from Minca, hidden away on the slopes of the hillside and a very quiet location. It's primarily the chatter of the birds that will keep you company! This place is gorgeous and I highly recommend staying here for a couple of nights.

I'm sure it's beautiful from everything we've heard and read, and people we met at the gate were wonderfully nice, caring, and helpful. We stopped by to see the place and consider staying there. Unfortunately, the rustic and rugged stepped walkway up the steep hill without a handrail was just too rigorous and unsafe for our 60ish healthy, but not athletic, selves. It would be good to make sure that anyone who is considering booking there knows that the walk up can be strenuous, or even restrictive.

I visited sol de Minca just when they were constructing a new type of composting toilet. This family's commitment to the environment is admirable! Their nature reserve has beautiful walks and is very well organized. The food they serve is healthy, fresh and tasty and the coffee is local. Fantastic way to spend a day in Minca with the family and friends.

Cute little little hippie town. I personally did't think the waterfalls/lake was worth going to but had a nice hike. There are restaurants, gift shops and even Spanish lessons here. I bought some beer that was produced in the area and quite liked it.

This place is amazing! You'd fall in love. The view is the best and the nature is incomparable. I just saw 5 different kind of birds in like half an hour. Ps: The owners are really special people!
