Mauricio, the owner and head engineer, is a dedicated professional. He has outstanding gear and constructed his studio to be both flexible for different acoustic tones of the tracking space and excellent quality. Scheduling and payment conversations were smooth. He has good relationships with instrumentalists and I had the pleasure of a terrific percussionist performing on my material.

I've worked with Mauricio for years, previously with my band Ciudad Pasarela and now with my solo project TJ Donner. I just finished recording and mixing an EP at io Recording and the process was, as always, excellent. Mauricio has a real ear for what makes a song work, hones in quickly on how to make each session move smoothly and quickly, has excellent knowledge of his gear and the recording space, and makes sure you work until you get the best take. His mixes are great, and he's always open to listening to all your reference material to make sure the final product is exactly what you want. Highly recommended.
I wanted to record an EP in Medellin and found IO Recording on google. Stumbled on a goldmine... Mauricio is one of the most chill guys you will ever meet that has a real talent for creating the perfect recording environment. I would thoroughly recommend Mauricios studio to any musician recording any kind of genre. It's a real shame about the 1 star review that complains about there being no proper schedule. Mauricio squeezed me in between other artists at the drop of a hat and accommodated my inefficient communication/timekeeping without a single stress. I don't really write reviews of any description but this guys got something really special going on that deserves to be heard.
Un excelente estudio, una excelente persona, muy recomendado para todo aquel músico que quiere una buena producción. Un estudio donde el ego queda afuera y se trabaja muy profesional. Un excelente productor con una calidad en el audio brutal.
