The marina offers excellent sea views, with lots of small boats and tons of options for rent. The people are friendly as well, though you will have to watch out for touts. There are lots of restaurants and drinking options along the promenade. This place, being a tourist district, is pricey as would any other tourist place. The sun set along the marina is one of the best in Santa Marta in an urban set up. There are souvenir shops along though can be expensive compared to the other places in Santa Marta.

Its an amazing place to visit in Santa Marta, I do highly recommend to experience the sailboats experience, specially from Captain Luis. Also you can eat over the place, walk and have a good time
Visited in January 2019. A modern relatively new Marina. Security is good and facilities are excellent. Very clean and well maintained. We explored the old city which has many restaurants and bars. We walked back along the beach front where market stalls sell the usual souvenirs. We felt safe and had no hassle from the numerous Venezuelan migrants. This is a must visit place. If arriving by boat as we did. Reef early before getting to the Columbian coast.
Modern and very nice installation. Very good location and security. The bad thing is the situation itself: once it is located in the middle of an old beach, the tides and natural flow of the water is interrupted, with the consequence of dirty waters staying inside for days, bad circulation of sands that cover the entrances and for sure ecological bigger issues. If it was on a corner of the bay and not being an artificial cape that changes the shape of the coastline... It would be the perfect shelter for boats, sailors, activities and business. 8 / 10
The best plan is waiting for sunset! So relax and beautiful, also you will find a lot options for eat and drink.
Buena caminada buena vista... But beware to late at night could be unsafe
Nice place , have a lot of nice small resto/bar but a bit pricey .
This is an excellent place to spend time with your family on your boat, additionally you can organize any special event and enjoy with your friends
