I waited an hour in line to find out they gave my seat to someone else. They said they where going to give me 30 US dollars and found out it was only for future flights. Then they sent me to another airline which I waited another hour in line. And they put me towards the back of the plane even though I asked for an exit seat because I am 6’5. I had an exit seat on my original purchase. They start out as cheap flights then then nickel and dime you for upgrades. I paid just as much to take my luggage as I did my ticket. Checked in the night before and paid an extra 14 US DOLLARS to make sure this would not happen!

They didn't give me the receipt of the payment of excess baggage and later they didn't send me by email colombian airports are the worst, every location different happens. I hat them all
Feb 13 was perhaps the worst travel experience we have had with an airline. We arrived 4 hours in advance for flight 434 from SCL to MDZ and the ticketing agent would not check us in and told us the flight was overbooked. She said we were supposed to check in 48 hours early. I have never had to do this with any other airline. In addition, she offered no alternative arrangement and said we would need to wait for 30 min before our flight to try and check in. This was ludicrous as we had already reserved our seats well in advance. No one at the counter was able to effectively address our problem, and I called LATAM customer service (call center based in Columbia) and they also were able to do nothing. Fortunately LATAM corrected their error at the very last minute and we had to rush to make the flight with out 1 year old child in tow. This was an absolute nightmare.
I'm not sure if I have bad luck or if LATAM has issues. I got my destination but always with fly delays and run to avoid lost the connections
Typical tourist scam , they played us at the bogota airport offering 360k for 2 tickets to medeillin ( regular price ) wich turned out to be 815 after payment ( 360each tax ) and guess what , without luggage ! They said the plane was leaving 20min after but it was just the check in time , we ended up waiting 3hours and rumbled to have our bags in cabin , for exemple avianca was 300k for 2 with luggage and leaving 1hr after .. guess what they said to us when we wanted an explanation ? That the ticket was "flex" ! Who wants a freaking flex ticket when leaving in the hour !!!! tourist scam !
Worst experience ever. Slow, bad service, not on time.
