I had a very good experience with this company in Cartagena. There are many people offering boat trips to the islands and I was very pleased I chose Bona Vida. The Catamaran is superb. It is very well equipped with plenty of seating and sunbeds so you have the choice of being in the sun or in the shade. The bathrooms and wash facilities are very clean onboard also. The bar is open throughout the trip serving alcoholic and soft drinks and the free watermelon juice is a nice touch. Food is cooked fresh and served lunchtime and is of a very good standard. Vegetarians are catered for and you will also have the option to buy fresh fish from the sellers who pull up alongside in their small boats. The boat will stop a few times for snorkeling and swimming. They have plenty of lifejackets if you require one and more than enough snorkel and masks to go around. The swimming is in sheltered safe areas just off of the islands. This trip does not go onto the islands but as the beaches there are so small you are not missing anything. This Catamaran trip is a little more expensive than some of the others but you get what you pay for and I would highly recommend this for a great day out on the water.

We engaged Bona Vida for a full-day excursion to the Islands, including swimming, snorkeling, and lunch on the boat, for about 100 wedding guests. It couldn't have been better, and guests said it was one of the highlights of an amazing weekend. We were greeted with a fresh watermelon cooler upon boarding. We boated past beautiful scenery with amazing blue water. Music was fun, Bona Vida provided swimming noodles, giant floats, and snorkeling gear when we reached a swimming reef. Then a terrific lunch of rice with seafood, a vegetarian bean option, fried plantains, fresh salad with plenty of veggie options, and fresh fruit. Helpful friendly staff, great energy. Everyone came home tired and happy -- just the way it should be. I recommend them highly!

Based on online reviews, we opted for Bonavida Catamaranes and we had excellent service!! The Bonavida catamaran is equipped with comfortable seats with nice cushions. On board, they offer a bar service with all kinds of drinks during the whole excursion. Also, the lunch is included and cooked on board by the crewmembers. You have a choice of meat, fish or vegan dish with rice and vegetables. It was delicious! The highlight of our day was to practice snorkeling to admire the fascinating underwater life with its colorful tropical fish and various types of coral. We had so much fun :) Visit my Instagram (IG: kelledstyle) for more pictures ;-)

Overall enjoyed this trip. It's pricy but I think in the end worth it for having the comfort of a nice boat and not being molested by vendors all day. We did it on a Monday in mid-September and it was about 30 people, all of whom appeared to be around 25-35, couples and small groups of friends. I think I would have felt quite crowded and been pretty unhappy if there had been 75 or 100 people so try to go on a less busy day. I appreciated that the snorkels and masks are included for free (need to put a deposit though) and we actually of reasonably good quality. Unfortunately the only spots we stopped were a little bit too deep (maybe 4 or 5 meters of water) to make for great snorkeling. We were surprised towels were not included or at least available to use for a fee - for how much we're paying this was unreasonable I feel. The biggest let down of the day was that there was no sailing at all, we just motored with the sails furled the enrite time despite ample wind. I was looking forward to this and felt let down they didn't even attempt to sail. Considering we left at 830 and got back exactly at 4 and motored the whole time I doubt they ever unfrul the sails. I just felt the advertising paints a false picture of this aspect. Biggest tip is to get there early to be the first people in to get the best seats: the day beds in front or in back.

Had a great time on the catamaran day trip to the Rosario islands today. Fun but also relaxing, and lots of spots in both the sun and shade.

DO NOT BOOK!! They ruined my plans for my parent's birthday trip. I made a reservation on their catamaran approximately 2 weeks in advance. They messaged me less than 24 hours ahead of the excursion to say it had been cancelled. They did not try to help me secure other excursions and left me high and dry!! Fortunately, I did an excursion earlier in the week with Juan Ballena and they were wonderful in letting me know what other options were available. They saved the day and we reserved a private boat (not very expensive) and we had a wonderful day island hopping!!

Beautiful sunset cruise! I was encouraged by one of the crew members, Danelis, to go on Bona Vidas sunset cruise with my family, and I am so glad we did. We absolutely loved it! The crew was very nice, welcoming and professional. They were also bilingual. We started sailing from the Clock Tower around 5:00pm and it lasted for about two hours; it was the perfect amount of time - not too long or too short. The package included delicious Colombian appetizers (empanadas, deditos, etc.) and a beverage. You can buy more drinks if you want. The music was great, the boat was spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cartagena. It is fun and affordable (less than 30.00 USD). If you are looking for a romantic evening with your partner or a night out with friends, this is a great option.
