If you have a short amount of time then I would go. It’s nothing super special but they do have some very interesting pieces. I think some of it was closed down and it was a bit confusing to navigate but it was a nice space. They have some English subtext too which is helpful if you’re not great at reading Spanish.

Very fair price to see some beautiful pieces of history! Though I was lucky and had a Spanish speaker with me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to understand much

With so many museums cataloging the region's past, it's difficult to prioritize. This one is special, a meta-museumgoing experience. Take time to translate/read the passages on the wall, unattributed but masterfully peeling back layers of time and meaning. Like something out of Calvino.

Wonderful example of a colonial house with a fine collection of archaeological artifacts. A must for those who enjoy ancient culture and architecture. They also have a fine souvenir shop

It's a typical archeology museum, bigger than I expected. Be sure to go through the door to the back to see more exhibits of ancient ruins around Colombia (with Spanish & English texts) and with a nice view of other local museums, have a smoke or sit at the small restaurant. The museum is also just a nice example of colonial Spanish architecture to wander through. You also might have to ask someone where the museum is in order to find it. It's a bit easy to miss.

It is a purely intellectual experience. Don't expect to be entertained, but you'll be enlightened by the Tierradentro hypogea.

Beautiful place. An ancient colonial house that holds a good set of archeological items. Educational and lovely

It's not gold but perhaps shines better light into the pre-hispanic cultures of Colombia. Worth every penny.
