Hammocks are very well looked after and the shower block is great quality. You even have your own power plugs in your lockers

Unfriendly staff, dirty toilets and even dirtier showers. The food in the restaurant is of medium quality and expensive. The hammocks with mosquito nets were hammocks within a greenhouse like facility with nets instead of windows. No individual mosquito net on each hammock. I got lucky with bedbugs (chinches) in my hammock. The only reason I rate this place with two stars is to distinguish between the even worse place one beach further at Cabo San Juan. The beach isn't worth it.

One of the better camping grounds in Tayrona. I didn’t stay here though, i ended up spending the night in cabo san juan. The camp is well maintained, better quality facilities compared to others, hammocks have mosquito nets, and the toilets/bathrooms are good. I opted for San Juan mainly because it is right on the beach and had a bit more energy. Arrecifes is like any other quiet camping trip in the forest. San Juan had more people (not a suffocating amount as some reviewers make sounds - in my experience), and had a bit more life to it. From Arrecifes to the piscina is around a 20-25 minute walk and then to San Juan another maybe 25 minutes. Overall a nice place though!

The camping itself is okay. But the restaurant has one of the worst crew I have ever seen. They are rude, unresponsive and sometimes simply ignore you. One example: in a place like Tayrona, especially after hiking, water is of vital importance. We asked for a bottle 15mins after their closing time. The cassier had his money box right in front of him and two coworkers were filling the fridge with 1,5 liter bottles. Despite that he didnt even look at us and replied "no hay". Me asking politely again didnt help. Over the course of two days, coworkers were hanging out in groups watching and laughing over passing tourists. If I would have the power I would completely boycot this place untill they find normal people.

Hostil place in the middle of parque Tayrona. Electricity only at night (makes it special) and the beach is very close by. The bathrooms are ok. You can sleep on a hammock, tent or bring yours. Food is also ok. Perfect for one night before reaching cabo San Juan :)
