Great place to stay! George at the front desk is the best and make you feel at home and welcome. If that's not his name you will know who it is when you a guy always smiling and good energy. All the staff is super friendly the place is clean and it is secure. Definitely recommend a stay. If you haven't tried a Hostel stay yet and are thinking about it make sure you book a good clean one like Viajero Santa Marta. Breakfast was also delicious. Rooftop pool sunset a MUST see!

One of the best hostels I've ever been in! It's in a quiet part of Santa marta, close to the action but not too close, & they keep it quiet at night which is why we went there (moving from a party hostel where we couldn't sleep) - the best part is the dance classes by Carlos! he made our stay waaay more entertaining & helped meet others in the hostel
very nice hostel a bit far from where everything is. beautiful roof top!! if you're coming from Santa Marta by public market only a 6mil cab ride to hostel. your key is also worn on your wrist so you won't lose your key pretty awesome if you have a big night out.
Viajero is a beautiful hostel with an amazing rooftop...and that's it! If you like a party environment and eating outside, it's a perfect match for you. But if you are like us, and prefer to cook your own food and chill, I wouldn't recommend it. The kitchen is quite basic as there's no coffee cups, no good pans. The refrigeraitor is too small. The stove is really old and you have to wait ages to cook a bowl of rice. They never empty the bin. And there's only one small table with 4 chairs which is strange for such a big hostel. They charge 5000COP for the towel, but they only had one available to rent upon arrival. The guy from the night shift was listening to loud music after 11pm and came to us to tell us to lower our voice, which was quite funny once we wasn't talking louder than his music at all. Then, minutes later, I went down to ask toilet paper for the same guy. He said he was going upstairs in 5 minutes to change it. The next day until midday we still was without toilet paper. In my opinion, Viajero Hostel isn't for viajeros at all. The beds are comfortable, but all the rest are too commercial. I believe they only care to sell food in the restaurant and drinks on the bar.
Great hostel. İnatallations are nice.there is a rooftop bar and pool where the wind embraces. Must visit but Also cliche that receptionists até not the best. Things happen.
I loved this hostel. One of the cleanest, most organized and well maintained hostels! The staff is amazing. Christina is beyond incredible. Her activities always are fun, entertaining and exciting! I highly recommend. Will definitely be staying at other locations!
Absolutely beautiful hostel! It was my first time as a backpacker. Loved it! The 6 dorms rooms are extremely well constructed. Very pleasant experience from the whole staff, mostly Jennifer and Christina that has been wonderful with us. Thank you for everything!
A beautiful and perfect hostel about 5 min walk to the busy walking streets and in a safe neighborhood. The rooftop pool on the 4th floor is incredible and the reason I booked it, I would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Santa Marta! The WiFi is strong, the rooms are modern and facilities are clean, and the staff is nice. The wristband you wear grants you access to your room and the very large sized locker.
