Beautiful place, great nature and walks. There's also a trout cultivation, must try the trout if you go there. Delicious

100 PERCENT WORTH SEEING!! We travelled 7hrs on a bus from Medellín to Salento and 20 more minutes hanging onto the back of a Jeep to get to El Bosque de Las Palmas. Whilst travelling, I enjoy seeing the biggest, smallest, tallest, etc. of something everywhere I go. So of course I had to travel here to see the world's tallest Palm Trees which grow up to 61 metres. My partner and I spent just over 2hrs here and quite honestly you could spend an entire day hiking here. We didn't quite have the energy that day, so we found a nice spot up the hill and just enjoyed the scenery. If tall Wax Palm trees aren't your thing there are goats and llamas you can pet. :) I can't recommend this place enough - from the thrilling Jeep rides to the breathtaking beauty of the Colombian Andes, you should NOT miss this spot whilst you are in Colombia!

Very beautiful place, amazing landscapes full of palmas de cera, and forest and rivers, you can ride in a horse and eat some traditional food. A must

Beautiful area with exceptionally tall palm trees. We hired a private jeep (70k for both ways) to visit. we didn't have enough time to do the long hike (5-6hour) through the valley but did go on the standard 90 min one. Apart from the last descent through the grassy hill the path is really well paved and easy to follow.

Tallest palms in the world. Look for pictures of a tiny person standing at the base of palms. They are tall!!! Amazing place! And..... we saw a condor!!!!! Wow!!! It was far away but you can still see it above the palms in some of the pictures. We took Jeeps to get here. Bumpy bumpy ride at times. Glad we had Jeeps. Bora played his flute for us while we were there making it all even more beautiful and mystical. Hope you can go. No place there for drinks or eats though. Bring your own.
