The place is now called « Chalanga surf ». Ir is run by Yeyo, sympatic fellow, and his wife. We only went to rent boards but We were always welcomed. It’s affordable and good quality. Only misses intermediary boards like 6’2 to 6’6 un my opinion. The spot is called « Terquito » and it’s heaven. Good period now wind in morning and evening so clean waves, small but well opening. PariaSurf is a little slice of paradise. We found it on google maps and messaged on WhatsApp, and felt so lucky to show up at a place that is more like being with family than a tourist. It is very simple accommodations, living right on the beach basically, room for 4 people max really. Surf boards and break is right out front, you can look out the cabana and check the waves from 50 feet away. Options for cooking your own food or prepared meals. We cooked, but had a dinner prepared by Angela and it was very good, especially after a week of our own cooking! Most interesting and off the tourist map beach vacation I’ve ever had.
This is the perfect spot to chill on the beach or catch a wave. Angela and Yeyo and their adorable son Geronimo make the perfect hosts. They are great cooks and will happily recommend what to do in the region and for the most part can cater to your needs with their boat and specialized activities around surf, fishing and whale watching. Terquito beach is perfectly located on a nice surf break and easy walk to both the tourist area of Guachalito and the local village of Termales. The accommodation is simple and comfortable and you can feel the love and attention to detail of the home the couple have built together with their own hands.
