We found this place on a whim. Arrived in Minca with no reservations. This was the best place I have ever stayed in my life. Amazing property on the river much closer to town then any of the other popular hostels in the area. The vibe was super relaxed and not too loud. The staff and everyone was extremely friendly, pointing us in the direction of hidden gems and creating a really awesome social experience at night when everyone gathers around the lit bar in the middle of a dark forest. Really an amazing experience.
Friendly town. You'll find some US expats here. It was first time in a hostel so I was surprised to share the room with 4 women and one man. I had dinner (Thai) chicken which was good, a the local beer. To get back into the town from the hostel you had to walk less than 5 minutes down the hill but at night it's PITCH black. There is a police substation at the bottom of the hill and the place is crawling with tourists. The shower is cold but it was 90 degrees in December so it was fine with me. You should know SOME Spanish. Overall great experience

Relax, unwind and let the good vibes flow. Such a fantastic setting on the river in the rainforest. A unique experience. Peaceful, laid-back, and the only danger is you'll not want to leave.
Best place I stayed in the whole of my Colombia trip! Unfortunately I couldn't stay longer. The owner is super enthusiastic and always happy to give information about the surrounding and activities.
The location is great. Not too close and not too far from the city centre. It offers you very calm environment of nearby river with lots and lots of space to hang around and chill. Staff is nice (but could be nicer and spoke more English). However, hostel has all you need with a nice bar that is one of the longest opened in the town so great opportunity to meet people. Mind that some of the beds in the dorm are located quite high and the ladder is rather steep (just don't drink too much before going to bed). Also, the pool could be cleaner - most of it is due to the tree that's above it (not much can be done) but the water quality could have been improved (exchange it more often).
