For any tourist or locals looking to get some ink done in this beautiful country, do not hesitate to stop by Opio Studio in Laureles. I've made it a tradition to stop by any time I'm on vacation to get amazing art done on my body.
My gf and I both got tattooed at Opio by Julian.... the place operates under very very impressive and strict protocols. Not only for the obvious tattoo related reasons but also because of Covid.... both my gf and I are very pleased with the service and tattoos... and not only Julian was extremely helpful but also the front desk staff very accomading and helpful

I did a lot of artist research before getting to Medellin and found DANN COLI at the OPIO in Laureles. His artwork on Instagram shows years of very detailed work. He is excellent at realism. We ended up working 3 full days on an entire half-sleeve on my upper right arm. There were two small previous tattoos that were part of this cover up, but most of it was new work. One of the tattoos is work I recently got somewhere else had a couple of errors. Dann was able to fix both issues perfectly. We used a few minor stencils and most of the work was done by hand. Dann is an excellent artist! He created a very realistic rope with knot, a compass, an anchor and many other items. He really brought the whole piece together as one large beautiful tattoo. He quickly gained my trust after the first session. He made a lot of judgement calls that turned out beautiful in the finished art. Each time I saw the new work I was blown away at his talent. He is very good at detailed work. I would give him six stars if I could. The shop staff are really nice. Liz takes care of everyone from the reception desk. The prices are very good for such amazing talent.
Esteban works magic. I came from new york to come see esteban alpez and he was worth every bit of effort. There are many great hotels close by, the food is great, but even if that other stuff sucked esteban still worth it. Absolutely incredible

Iam from Germany and we germans still have a little bit prejudices about Colombia. Its very dangerous, dirty and not as well devolped like europe. So I had also a little bit concerns because of letting make a Tattoo here in Medellin. First, most of the prejudices have not been confirmed.. of course it depends where in Colombia you are. But Here in Medelline its Just so nice. Also was the Tattoo studio Opio Tattoo. I came there on friday, with my tattoo i had done in Germany wich i was a bit dissatisfied with. On sunday (2 days after... in Germany you would have waited half a year) CARLOS STAPPER my tattoo Artist made a piece of art out of it. He knew exactly what i wanted even if i didnt knew it by myself. He is a true artist. He also was very exciteed about His work and very Professional. To be honest even more professional than any tattoo artist I have met in Germany so far. We started at 10 am and I left the Studio at 20 pm. I paid round about 30 euro per hour and you need a little bit spanish skills. PS: if you feed carlos with empanadas from down the street he will do his very best
