The 11 course tasting menu that Restaurante BARCAL serves is spectacular. If Michelin guide came to Colombia, this restaurant would have at least one Michelin star. Very reasonably prices and the service is impeccable. Highly recommended.

Fine dine restaurant in Medellin. It's not listed in the latan 50 restaurant yet. But if they are to choose one in Medellin. This is the place. The tasting menu with pairing was really good idea costing approximately 80 usd per person
We had an absolutely perfect night. From the first moment Vivian (our hostess) made us feel welcome and relaxed. We had the tasting menu and a bottle of Intriga 2016 to share two people. The whole evening was extraordinarily comfortable, exciting and inspiring. The dishes were both interesting, creative and tasty as we "went" from the Amazon to the north to the west of Colombia to taste coconut soup with cured shrimp, ants, beef, hen and tamarind chocolate. The espresso was equally great. Thank you to the kitchen, the waiters and to Vivian for an excellent night.
Top notch service from the get go. Great adventure through the food, although it may be a bit exotic for some, but that's what a true chef should do, always challenge the customers and expand their palate for new experiences. Exotic dishes are left out from the photo to keep the surprise
Excellent food, only local products, very well cooked, refined, tasteful, large choice of wine and very nice staff. The place is very calm, with a good and relaxing atmosphere.
We had a great 10 course meal with a 5 wine paring option that was fabulous. The waiters are very versed on the menu and on etiquettes of service. The prices reflect a fine dinning experience for Colombia at a price that is about 30%-50% of what it world cost in most US states.
One of the finest meals I have ever had
One of the real highlights of our trip. Exceptional service and food. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for those interested in food and discovering local cuisine prepared beautifully.
