Finca Hostal Bolivar Reviews | Rating 4.8 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Finca Hostal Bolivar is located in Minca, Colombia on Via Cienaga-Minca s/n. Finca Hostal Bolivar is rated 4.8 out of 5 in the category guest house in Colombia. Minca and the Sierra Nevada attracts people from all over the world with its unique flora and fauna. It is an ideal starting point for numerous activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, or excursions to the ancient Indian city "Ciudad Perdida". Furthermore, this part of Colombia is appreciated by ornithologists due to its many species of birds. Nestled between the Rio Gaira and the Rio Arimaca at 650 meters altitude, Minca has a pleasantly cooler climate than Santa Marta. A rich variety of plants line the roads and paths that lead to the various attractions in the area. Our boutique - Cabana with two double rooms and a dorm for four people is located directly on the Rio Gaira where you can take a pleasant bath after a hot day.

I totally agree with all the previous 5star ratings. Cleanliness is amazing - thanks to Carmen (?) the dedicated housekeeper. Comfort is way above what I would expect from a hostel - including amazing matrasses even in the dorms. In general all the small details seem to have been thought of! Enjoy your tranquil time there!!!

It is a Great hostel. There is a river near by and you can start many different hikes from there. The shower is by far the best one we had in Colombia. The owner is really nice and gives a lot of information about activities, hikes and restaurants. There is a small kitchen that invites you to cook, too.

Really nice hostel just 5 minutes from the town center. The hosts Simon and Daniel really thought this through and paid much attention to the details, like power plugs in the lockers, a little space in the bathroom with your bed number so you can keep your stuff there, a hook with your bed number for your towel. They even provide towels that can be used to go bathing in the river that flows throu the hostel property. There is also a very nice kitchen with everything you need, a fire place for campfires, hammocks, a private viewpoint where you can overlook the whole region down to Santa Marta. The rooms get cleaned everyday and your bed will be made when you get back from your activities. And there is warm water in the showers! The hosts are very nice and help you out with all the information you could possibly need. All in all a top hostel that i can really recommend! 11/10

A piece of paradise. If you are looking for something quiet, close to nature and just to relax. This is the place! I spent my day either hiking around, just hanging out in the porch and bathing in the river. I ended up staying one more day and tempted to stay even longer.
