If you are a foreign visitor or coming from other places in Colombia, even more, a Medellin citizen, Piedras Blancas deserves your visit and stay if you like camping. Installed on one of Medellin highest hills, this beautiful and tranquil park is plenty of things to do: canopy, kayaking, butterfly's sightseeing, barbecue grills, pets training camp, restaurant, hotel and many more. Here is usual to have availability for environmental speeches and meetings to attend to. One of the places to visit when coming to Parque Arvi, traveling in metrocable thru the metro railway system of Medellin. From the station upside, there will be a bus from the Comfenalco Piedras Blancas park waiting to pick you up and take you. Great for families or friends. You can grill your meat and buy some beers from the cafeteria on a beautiful scenery.

Don't bring your family here if you want to rest. I'm with my 2yr old and can't sleep because other people are listening to loud music 10pm. Not even the guard says anything to them. Also, parking is terribly inconvenient. You have to register at the hotel, then drive somewhere else so you can drop off your camping gear and this is not even close to the camping site. Then you have to drive again to another spot to park your car and then again walk to the camp site. Literally impossible if you are alone with your child. Whoever thought of this has never been camping and has never dealt with kids on their own. My daughter likes it, but not sure I'd put up again with the hassle. The music and parking just ruin it.

Cute attraction. Butterfly section isn't exciting as you might hope, but the park if pretty and well maintained

Wow! Where to start?! The Gondolas? Hope you aren’t afraid of heights! Make sure you have your camera ready so you can take all the pictures in a gondola full of locals just going home. When you exit, be sure to walk through the turnstile marked, “Salida”, apparently that means “Exit.” And the market, make sure to try all the things (legit, flambe). Grab a bottle of water because get ready for a hike...and what a hike indeed! Hopefully your lungs don’t explode at that elevation! Let me tell you, I.was.winded . At about the half way mark you actually leave Medellin...WHOA!Then after 4km total (I think that’s like 1.5 miles in American) you finally make it...that’s right, you’ve arrived at none other than the Piedras Blancas themselves. And let me tell you, what a sight to behold. 100% worth the pay off, and even worth the uphill 4km walk back (pretty sure it was uphill both ways). I’ve never seen anything like this. The views. The energy. WOW la energía! Breath taken from the elevation? Breath taken from the sight of the stones?...doesn’t matter! I was ready to run back down the mountain from all that energy! Anyway, enough of me. Take a look at the pictures.

Wonderful park, extremely well maintained. There is a path around it, you can also visit a butterfly nursery and the best part: although there are some marshy areas, there are no mosquitoes thanks to the altitude.

We had an incredible experience, the park is vast and beautiful, the eco walk was fantastic, we enjoyed it every moment of it. Amazing scenery, fun activities available for everybody in the party including little kids. They air you breath there is really pure and the forest is magical.
