Staying in Getsemani, it's hard to not pass through here each time you want to get to Centro or San Diego. If you're here for a few days the plaza will become very familiar to you as you'll pass through it several times per day with each time having a totally different feel to it. There's great vendors and a few good cafes and stops for bite to eat or grab a drink and watch the crowds go by.
The San Pedro Claver square is one of the places to visit when traveling to Cartagena. It combines the historical trace of the colony with the modernity of sites of interest that work there today: Museum of modern art, San Pedro Restaurant, Parish and Museum of San Pedro Claver, administered by the Jesuit priests. The square receives very often visits of important characters and events such as open-air classical music concerts take place there. Street food vendors and luminous toys for children are characteristic there. It can be accessed from the alley of the naval museum, from the Plaza de la Aduana and from the Plaza de Bolívar.
