Guatila was a great place. The food was very tasty but a bit pricey for potion size. The staff was very friendly and service was good. The music they played was very modern and recent popular hits of many genres. Menu was laid out well, many pictures which make you crave it all. Everyone was satisfied with their meals.

Because the other reviews were good i decided to try it, very disappointed. It took 60 minutes to receive our food, the quality of it was very bad. I don't know if the pandemic affected their staff, half of the dishes weren't available.
I'm not big on fish, but this whole fried fish was amazing! Prices are decent as well. We ordered the whole fried fish, fried 'popcorn' fish, vegetarian paella, and four mojitos. Total bill came to around 61 CAD including gratuities. Recommend!
The best place I ate in Cartagena. My friends and I went here twice, the only place in the city we did so. Very relaxed atmosphere with an incredibly friendly staff and the food is simply perfect. I had the vegetarian paella and my friends had a variety of the beef and fish dishes and everyone raved about their food. This is the kind of gem that you travel to a city, or even a country, to experience the local cuisine and absolutely worth seeking out.
We went to Guatila restaurant for dinner on November 15, 2020 at 7:30 PM. The server informed us "no servicio", but they were still serving food. Talk about discrimination. One star is one too many.
Their waitress was very nice! We had some of their entrees and main dishes, it was ok for the type of food. A bit overpriced, but seems to be the norm in Cartagena. Their posta is a bit too sweet and dry. Seems like their meats (entree dish) tend to be on the very dry side, what a shame. I would recommend to just stick to the entrees in-lieu of their main dishes.
Excelent food, very original twist on typical food, the service was the best, if you go here you will definitely be satisfied. Best thing we had was the prehispanic fish do yourself a favor and get it as a main dish.
Great food. The gentleman spoke good English and suggested some terrific local food and appetizers.
