Cartagena is a big place, and this hostel provided an oasis from the busy city. The pool, while small, was so refreshing in the midst of the busy city. The staff was friendly and helped us make sense of the bus schedule (or lack thereof) and how we could get to our next location. Rooms were clean, there were plenty of bathrooms, and the dorms had air con, which was nice at night.

I stayed in a single room with private bathroom. I have mixed feelings about this hostel, so I will shortly share cons and pros from my perspective: PROS--\u003e 1. Great location. 2. Cleanish- the pool did not seem soo clean. 3. Value for money; it seems overpriced (but this might relate to the location). CONS--\u003e poor internet connection. 2. Loud- one night some guests stayed until 4am making noise, and no one in the hostel did anything about it. The hostal is small so you can hear everything. 3. It definitely has a hostel vibe (do not be fooled by the word boutique--see pictures). All in all, it was an OK stay. But if you are thinking of getting a room for yourself, and you have some money to invest in this, I would advise you to look for other options, specially if you are seeking a quiet environment and good internet connection.
This place is a welcoming as it looks. Right in the heart if Getsemani, there are multiple stores, restaurants, and hang out spots nearby. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. The lobby itself is a great place to just escape the heat and meet fellow travelers. Hands down one of the best hostels I've visited.
Unfortunately I don’t quite understand why this hostel has such a high score. I do believe that this is not a boutique hostel and the name is a bit misleading. What I liked: -breakfast (you get a juice, fruits and get to choose between different egg dishes, pancakes, etc) -staff: very friendly and relaxed -common area: really calm and relaxing but way too small for the amount of guests in the hostel -cleanliness: the hostel was very clean, you could constantly see the staff cleaning bathrooms, common area etc. -the cat Stella -location What I didn’t like: -the dorm size: we stayed in a 6 bed dorm and it was just way way waaaayyyy too small for 6 people. If 2 people decided to get up at the same time, there was no space. If you want to get something out of your locker and some one else wants to get up, there is no space. Just trying to pack your luggage at the end was a challenge. No individual light in the beds, not enough hooks for towels. The room size would even be difficult for a 4 bed dorm in my opinion. Since the place claims to be “boutique” we expected something a bit fancier. -bathroom: 3 showers for each sex in the whole hostel, 2 of which were more like gym/pool showers-\u003e no hooks for towel, nowhere to put your clothes so you have to jump to the changing room once your done, really inconvenient -luggage storage: they store your bags in the netflix room that is open 24/7 and can be accessed by all the guests. I’ve stayed in Cartagena before and to be honest I wouldn’t go back to this hostel.
Super nice and colorfull hostel with a great vibe, good food, amazing staff, great and beautiful neighbourhood.
I'm here now and I'm loving it! Super nice staff and exactly as expected. Cute small hostel, good breakfast, good wifi, good neighborhood (Getsemani is great during the day, and at night it's a short walk to Centro), good air-conditioning (We're in a private room, idk about the dorms), good community vibe - yet quiet after 11 so you can always sleep if you have an early morning, clean, comfy beds. That's basically my checklist and they succeeded. No hot water. Would recommend.
Cute hostel, breakfast is good. The showers have low pressure and nowhere to hang your towel. Pool is more like a tub of water. Pretty sure something bit me, beware could be bed bugs here as other guests have mentioned.
