All people are so welcoming, and super nice. Good prices on anything you see. Come here first before you go to big malls if you want to get memorabilia and native gifts. Tons of and tons of places and restaurants to try here.

Here you can find a variety of handicrafts, traditional Colombian items and souvenirs. The prices are below average so it's good opportunity. Even though the place is hard to explore due the stuff in middle of the walkways and crowds. Also this part of the city is quite dangerous.

This is the best market for artisan products. You will find everything in traditional crafts. Clay posts, baskets, weaving, painting, wood, resin, fabric and leather goods. This is a market which is made up of small vendors in a number of sections. It is best to weave through the maze that is this market to find every type of souvenir. Many locals come here to find everything from place mats to jewelry to shoes. Remember all prices are negotiable and you can walk away without being harassed. Best to go to different vendors before making your final decision. Note: there is a bathroom onsite but you will have to pay the attendant 700 COP (about .50 cents). She will provide you will toilet paper and paper towel. I found this to be the best place to purchase my mochila and mole. To give you an example the mochila I bought for 70,000 COP was available at the airport for 315,000 COP. I could have paid less but decided I wanted on particular pattern.

It looked like a small shop but when you walk in you notice it takes up a whole block and there is even a small cafe in an outdoor patio. In terms of shops, they are really authentic as most of the things that are made are made by locals, really nice small gifts at good prices (tip: I would ask for their best price and they will bump down the price a bit) but overall very peaceful and safe.
