Nice exhibition, if you have a fascination for gold you should come here. The normal admission price is 3000 cop, but during the Covid 19 pandemic admission was for free, but a online reservation was necessary to be admitted. When I got there, I was informed about it and made the online reservation on site, and I was given an appointment for two hours later, as it was starting to rain heavily, I decided to wait there and not go anywhere else and was let in after 1 hour someone dropped out who made a reservation.

Museo del Oro is part of the TransMilenio mass-transit system of Bogotá, Colombia, opened in the year 2000. It’s located in the very heart of Bogotá. The museum has a collection of 55,000 pieces of gold, 6,000 of which are on display in their expanded building. Each one is more beautiful than the next. A must see!!! There are bilingual descriptions of almost all exhibits. On the first floor houses the museum's main entrance, a shop, and a restaurant. Exhibitions begin on the second floor. The main room is called "People and Gold in pre-Hispanic Colombia". In glass vitrines display goldsmiths' work from the different cultures which inhabited Colombia before the Spanish colonists arrived. The exposition continues on the third floor, with "The Flying Chamanic" and "The Offering." The first shows the process of a shamanic ceremony with its different gold pieces, the second is divided into three parts: the "Offering Room", the "Offering Boat", and the "Lake". At the end of the exposition, there is a "Profunditation Room" with artistic videos about the most important gold pieces of the museum. Sundays have discounts.
