Fundación Cine A La Calle is the base foundation for the FICICA -International Short Film Festival- celebrated every year on May in Barranquilla, Colombia. This festival is one of the largest of its kind in Latin America and has a growing reputation at national and international level. The organization also promotes the inclusion of new audiences through the implementtion of its programmes Cine Accesible and Barrios de Película: - Cine Accesible: promotes new technology that allows blind people to "watch"​ films and deaf people to "listen to"​ films. The sessions of this programme are developed with the support of NGOs and official institutions that works with people with these conditions. - Barrios de Película: a series of community audiovisual production workshops through which members of vulnerable communities learn how to produce films in order to apply this knowledge on local social development initiatives. The program also includes film appreciation sessions. - A La Calle Productora: an audiovisual producer house that focuses its work on social documentation, community film making and anthropologically loaded and approached audiovisual production.
